10 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on October 9, including 9 imported infections

The Ministry of Health reported 10 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on October 9. This takes the national tally of confirmed infections to 57,859.

There is just 1 new case of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, who is residing in a dormitory and there are no cases in the community as per the MOH preliminary release of figures.

Additionally, there are 9 imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

“We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight,” the ministry added.
