The Ministry of Health reported 12 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on October 21. This takes the national tally of confirmed infections to 57, 933.
There are no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, MOH said in a press statement.
There are 12 imported cases, nine of which are Work Permit holders currently employed in Singapore who arrived from Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines. Another two are Dependant’s Pass holders who arrived from the UAE. The remaining case is a Short-Term Visit Pass holder who arrived from Egypt for his upcoming marriage to his Singaporean fiancée.
They had all been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.
