The fifth edition of the Malaysian Indian Wedding Photographers & Videographers (MIWPV) Convention is set to be the biggest yet.
A total of 200 participants will gather at Everly Hotel, Putrajaya on July 20 to vie for the honour of being the champion MIWPV Photographer and Videographer of the year.
Inaugurated in 2015, the MIWPV event is the only competition of its kind in Malaysia. It was created to cultivate a growing community of Indian wedding photographers and videographers, and celebrate the best of Indian wedding photography and videography.
MIWPV had its humble beginnings in mini-competitions on social media, but has now made its mark on the international stage. This year, the convention will feature six judges hailing from five different countries and a record selection of over 1,000 entries.
“We’re very proud to be in our fifth year running and having more and more people join us, ” said MIWPV co-founder Kamalesan Kamalakaran at a press conference.
The convention will feature an array of activities, such as seminars and a gala dinner, in addition to the competition and award ceremony.
