219 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on June 26, including 6 cases in the community

The Ministry of Health has reported 219 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on June 26. This takes the national tally of infections to 42,955.

The vast majority of the new cases are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. There are also 6 cases in the community, of whom five are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents and one is a Work Pass holder, said the MOH in its preliminary release of figures.

“We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight,” the ministry added.
