The Ministry of Health has reported 23 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on September 30. This takes the national tally of confirmed infections to 57,765.
There are three cases in the community, all of whom are Work Pass holders. Two were picked up as a result of proactive surveillance and screening. One had already been placed on quarantine earlier.
Additionally, there are four imported cases, of which one is a Singaporean and another a Singapore Permanent Resident who returned to Singapore from India on September 12 and Indonesia on September 25. The remaining two are Work Permit holders currently employed in Singapore who arrived from the Philippines on September 18.
All of them had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and were tested while serving their SHN at dedicated facilities.
