The Ministry of Health has confirmed 242 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on August 7. This takes the national tally of cases to 54,797.
The majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. There is also one case in the community, who is a Singaporean, said the MOH in its preliminary release of figures.
Additionally, there are 6 imported cases, who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.
“We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight,” the ministry added.
