The Ministry of Health has reported 277 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on July 24. This takes the national tally of infections to 49,375.
The vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.
There are also five cases in the community, of whom two are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents and three are Work Pass holders.
Additionally there are two imported cases, both of which are Dependant’s Pass holders who returned to Singapore from India on July 12. They had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving their SHN.
