27th Singapore International Film Festival: Anurag Kashyap, Seema Biswas to grace the event

The 27th Singapore International Film Festival is round the corner. Filmmakers not just from Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, Mongolia, Japan, Nepal, Turkey, Afghanistan but also India will take part in this cinematic gala.

Here are the five Indian personalities that will grace this week-long event:

Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap known for his uncompromising films like Paanch, Black Friday, No Smoking, Gangs of Wasseypur will screen his June 2016 release – Raman Raghav. The  film revolves around a serial killer – Nawazuddin Siddique who stalks the drug-addicted detective Vicky Kaushal investigating his grisly murders. The crime drama will keep you hooked to the screen.

Seema Biswas, K Rajagopal, Sivakumar Palakrishnan
These three names are associated with the film – A Yellow Bird. The film is an uncompromising portrait of Singapore's lumpenproletariat through the eyes of one man searching for salvation in a city that never forgives. Directed by K Rajagopal, Sivakumar Palakrishnan and Seema Biswas complement the film with their strong performances.

The film festival will run from November 23 to December 4, 2016. The film festival offers 160 films to choose from at eight venues (Marina Bay Sands, ArtScience Museum, The Arts House, Capitol Theatre, Filmgarde Bugis+, National Gallery of Singapore, National Museum of Singapore, Objectifs Centre for Photography and Film, and Shaw Theatres Lido) across the city and standard ticket priced at $12, it will be hard to resist.
