The Ministry of Health has reported 354 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on July 23. This takes the national tally of infections to 49,098.
The vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.
There are also eight cases in the community, of whom four are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents and the rest are Work Pass holders.
In addition, there are 5 imported cases, two of which are Permanent Residents who returned to Singapore from India on July 12.
Another two are Work Pass holders who are currently employed in Singapore. They arrived in Singapore from India on July 11 and 12. The remaining case is a Dependant’s Pass holder who arrived from India on July 11.
All of them had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving their SHN.
