Singapore reported 49 new COVID-19 cases on March 27, taking the total number of infections in the country to 732. Additionally the MOH announced that eleven more people have been discharged from hospital. In all, 183 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged.
Of the 49 new cases, 22 are imported and 27 are local cases who have no recent travel history abroad.
The imported cases had travel history to Europe, North America and ASEAN. All except two were returning residents and Long Term Pass holders.
Of the local cases, 18 are linked to clusters or previous cases, while 9 are currently unlinked, and contact tracing is ongoing.
Three of the confirmed cases (Cases 581, 689 and 724) are linked to a new cluster at SingPost Centre at 10 Eunos Road 8, said MOH.
Of the new cases, five are linked to the cluster at PCF Sparkletots pre-school in Fengshan, taking the total number of infections from the cluster to 25.
Of the 432 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. Seventeen are in critical condition in the intensive care unit, said MOH.
