The Ministry of Health reported 7 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12 pm on October 28. This takes the national tally of confirmed infections to 57,987.
There are no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection among the new cases.
There are seven imported cases, one of which is a Singapore Permanent Resident who returned from Belgium.
The rest are currently employed in Singapore. Of these, one is a Work Pass holder who arrived from Switzerland, and five are Work Permit holders who arrived from Myanmar and the Philippines. They had all been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.
