Behind 7stories are seven women from different walks of life all with a passion for giving back. Through chance meetings in Singapore, school connections, and kismet, Anupama Sekhri Zain, Manisha Garg, Anjali Soota, Nishta Kathpalia Sipahimalani, Smita Sunil, Deepali Shah and Shefali Khushalani came together to establish the initiative with service at its heart.

They use their respective individual talents and expertise to execute events that support the arts and give back to the motherland by donating all profits made from curating this exhibition to NGOs and NPOs that serve struggling women and children in India.

By hosting events that curate contemporary Indian and Southeast Asian designers and artisans inspired by heritage, they aim to showcase the magic of culture nurtured by the ages.

The fashion designers in their upcoming show will use traditional weaves and block prints to create heritage-inspired styles with contemporary silhouettes. Their upcoming event will feature clothing lines of many designers:

  • Soutache by Gaurika Sharma

  • Metaphor by Chandrashekar

  • Kora by Anjali Kalia

  • SWGT by Shweta Gupta
