9 Food and Beverage Outlets Penalised for Breaching Safe Management Measures in Singapore

The Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, Singapore announced that the following nine food and beverage (F&B) premises have been penalised for breaching safe management measures (SMMs) following stepped-up enforcement checks by government agencies over the last weekend.

Agencies will continue to step up enforcement at F&B outlets as the year comes to an end.

Angel Bar Beer (5001 Beach Road #02-23 Golden Mile Complex) failed to ensure safe distancing of at least 1 metre between groups of seated customers. The operator has been issued an order to close for 10 days from 23 December 2021 to 1 January 2022 (both dates inclusive).

HARU (3 Magazine Road #01-01) had provided dice games to patrons to be played within its premises. As the establishment is a repeat offender, the operator has been issued an order to close for 40 days from 22 December 2021 to 30 January 2022 (both dates inclusive).

PUB 98 (237 Joo Chiat Road) delayed the entry of enforcement officers into its premises and allowed intermingling between different groups of seated customers. The operator has been issued an order to close for 10 days from 18 to 27 December 2021 (both dates inclusive).

Mohican Pub & Music Lounge (26 Madras Street) failed to minimise interaction between staff and customers, and failed to ensure safe distancing of at least 1 metre between groups of seated customers. The operator has been issued an order to close for 10 days from 18 to 27 December 2021 (both dates inclusive).

Euphoria (19 Tanglin Road Tanglin Shopping Centre B1-28) failed to minimise interaction between staff and customers and had deployed hostesses, failed to ensure safe distancing of at least 1 metre between groups of seated customers, failed to ensure SafeEntry check-in by every customer entering the premises, and did not have a system to perform checks on vaccination statuses of patrons before entry. As the establishment is a repeat offender, the operator has been issued an order to close for 20 days from 18 December 2021 to 6 January 2022 (both dates inclusive).

Club Hermes (161 Kitchener Road) failed to minimise interaction between staff and customers, and had deployed hostesses. The operator has been issued an order to close for 10 days from 19 to 28 December 2021 (both dates inclusive).

The Tanglin Gin Jungle (26B Dempsey Road) had allowed staff to consume alcohol within the premises after 10.30pm. The operator has been issued an order to close for 10 days from 23 December 2021 to 1 January 2022 (both dates inclusive).

CY Bistro (5001 Beach Road #B1-05/06 Golden Mile Complex) was fined $1,000 for failing to ensure safe distancing of at least 1 metre between groups of customers.

Thong Lor (5001 Beach Road #02-24 Golden Mile Complex) was fined $1,000 for failing to ensure SafeEntry check-in by every customer that had entered the premises.
