Each eligible Singaporean household will be receiving 1.5 to 3.5 months of rebate in their Service & Conservancy Charges (S&CC) for financial year 2018, which runs from April 2018 to March 2019.
This is part of the additional support for households provided by the government, which was announced during Budget 2018.
A total of around 900,000 Singaporean HDB households can expect to benefit from S$126 million worth of rebate. The amount would depend on their HDB flat type, said the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in a media release on Wednesday, Mar 28.
Eligible households will receive a letter from end-March with details of the S&CC rebate, MOF added.
Each household's S&CC payment will be offset directly. For those who pay their S&CC through Giro, their town councils will make the necessary arrangements with their banks.
