Perturbed over wet weather during January, Singaporeans might expect some relief as there is prediction of a drier and warmer fortnight in February, said Meteorological Service Singapore.
“Expect a drier and warmer fortnight ahead, compared to the showers that Singapore saw on most days in the last two weeks. The prevailing northeast monsoon is forecast to enter its dry phase, which is characterised by drier weather and occasionally windy conditions,” said Met Service said in a media advisory
The daily temperature in Singapore is expected to range between 23 Degree Celsius and 33 Degree Celsius and could reach a high of 34 Degree Celsius on some days.
Despite February always remaining the driest month of the year, Met Service noted that short-duration thundery showers can be expected mostly in the afternoon on four or five days within the next two weeks.
It also added that February is climatologically the driest month of the year. Rainfall for the first half of February is forecast to be below normal.
