The fourth Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (Sg.SAIFF) is set to be held in Singapore from September 25 to October 3, with the third edition of the South Asian Film Market (SAFM) to be run from September 26 to 27 as part of the festival agenda.
Following successful editions of SAFM in 2018 and 2019, SAFM 2020 will again bring ten curated projects for producers and investors.
A panel of celebrated film experts will be working with film makers to mentor, guide and recommend them.
A premiere platform which brings together film makers and investors for transparent and credible partnerships, SAFM includes all aspects of film related business activities – including production, financing and distribution.
Along with industry stalwarts, SAFM provides pre-vetted films as a reliable investment option.
Entries for films are now open, and will run till April 30.
The Book to Screen 2020 platform will allow publishers and authors to reach out directly to producers and film makers to adapt their titles into a screen format.
Over the last two years, SAFM has onboarded projects such as JL50 starring Abhay Deol, Pankaj Kapur and Piyush Mishra; Aadi and Charulata, whose scripts are currently taking new shape; and Maadathy, an independent film which will soon be launched.
"Sg.SAIFF and SAFM are unique platforms for cinephiles and we are extremely proud that we are in the fourth year wherein we promise to make it bigger and better," said Abhayanand Singh, Chairman of the Sg.SAIFF.
"The 10 day event has found a place in the cultural calendar of Singapore and we remain committed to bringing the best of South Asian Cinema to everyone."
