Atul Temurnikar, Co-Founder & Chairman of GIIS, is gungho about the launch of the GIIS-Shekhar Ravjiani School of Music. Temurnikar cites the likeable and talented Shekhar's positive attitude and commitment as sure shot success factors for the association.
GIIS boasts of world class facilities for sports, arts and other vocational training and its collaboration with Ravjiani is an earnest attempt to discover and promote talented students from their 21 campuses across the world.
Shekhar is one of India’s best known music directors who, along with his musical partner Vishal Dadlani, has composed music for highly successful films like War, Sultan, Fan, Om Shanti Om and Student of the Year 2, among others. Shekar himself was discovered and hugely appreciated when he took part, many years ago, in the singing talent-hunt show Sa Ra Ga Ma on Zee TV – a show he went on to judge six years hence.
The association between GIIS and Shekhar Ravjiani seems slated for success, with students thrilled to get a chance to be trained by the talented musician. Not just the children, none other than Indian cinema megastar Amitabh Bachchan is among the list of those who have expressed their desire to register for the new school.
Speaking to Connected to India, Atul Temurnikar shares details of the engagement.
