Twitter owner and billionaire Elon Musk’s popularity on the social media platform was highlighted when his reply to a tweet about Indian food went viral.
A Twitter user shared a picture of butter chicken, naan and rice on the platform, stating “…Indian food it's so insanely good.'' Musk’s one-word agreement in his reply led to the post hitting 6.5 million views in 24 hours.
Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, a frequent supporter of Musk on Twitter, chimed in as well.
“How many more reasons will you give us to like you more and more,” she wrote in reply to Musk’s post.
The Tesla CEO's single-word reply has delighted Indians and foodies alike. While many thanked him for praising Indian food on an international platform, some invited him to come to India and try authentic cuisines. Others speculated that the tweet meant Musk is gearing up to open a Tesla manufacturing factory in India, although that seemed unlikely.
The incident highlights Musk’s fan following on the platform which he purchased last year for USD 44 billion.
