At least 176 individuals attending the ZoukOut 2023 dance music festival were caught by Health Sciences Authority (HSA) officials for possessing e-vaporisers. The operation was carried out on 2 and 3 December, as per an official statement.
The said festival was held at Siloso Beach in Sentosa.
The offenders’ age ranged from 18 to 51 years. HSA stated that all e-vaporisers were confiscated. It also added that the nabbed individuals will be fined.
As per HSA, “use or purchase of e-vaporisers is illegal and carries a maximum fine of S$2000”.
“HSA will also not hesitate to take stern enforcement actions on those who conduct illegal activities such as the peddling of prohibited e-vaporisers to members of the public,” it said.
