The auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya brought good news for a budding Indian actress in Dubai as she won half a kilogram of gold.
Malayalam film actress from UAE Aima Rosmy Sebastian won the precious gold in the Akshaya Tritya raffle draw. Her lucky raffle coupon number 086330 was selected from thousands of coupons bought by fortune seekers at Malabar Gold and Diamonds raffle.
Many Indians purchased gold on April 28 in anticipation of more prosperity and fortunes on Akshaya Tritiya. The actress won half a kilogram gold out of 30kg of gold on offer from April 19 to May 6, 2017, as part of the Akshaya Tritiya campaign.
Preethy George, mother of Aima, while talking to Dubai based newspaper Khaleej Times, said, “I am excited about Aima winning half a kilogram gold after buying gold and diamonds on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. We had purchased gold using the promotions and had dropped about 30 coupons. We were just informed by Malabar Gold about winning the raffle."
She added, “I was about to throw away the raffle coupons that we got from the Malabar Gold and Diamonds showroom in KM Trading Center, Rollah Sharjah. Like many others, who purchased gold in anticipation of fortune, we also did the same and utilized the raffle opportunity.”
Aima Rosmy Sebastian is a budding Malayalam actress and has worked with superstars Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly. She has played important roles in recent films Jacobinte Swargarajyam and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol.
While speaking about Aima’s initiation into films, Preethy said, “She is a dancer and participated in many dance programmes with Dubai-based Malayalam actress Asha Sharath."
However, Aima’s current priority is to complete her MBA from Manipal University Dubai, as revealed by her mother Preethy, “There are many acting offers from Malayalam and other language movie makers but for the time being she is focused on completing her MBA. She has a twin sister who works for Sharjah International Airport. We feel happy about our daughter who is born and brought up in the UAE.”
The family has been living in UAE for over 25 years.
