WATCH: 10-ft-long crocodile fails to climb guard railing after straying into locality in northern India, rescued

Locals in a neighbourhood in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh were left panic-stricken after a giant crocodile was seen wandering around. As per reports, the incident took place on Wednesday in the state’s Bulandshahr district. The crocodile is believed to have crawled out of a canal.

A video of the croc, which has now gone viral on the Internet, showed the reptile struggling to cross a railing and get back to the water. The crocodile tries to climb the guard railing but fails.

Another video showed a group of people tying the crocodile with a rope, in an effort to secure and rescue it.

As per reports, the reptile, measuring 10 feet, crawled out of the Ganga canal near Narora Ghat. Seeing the croc wandering around, locals informed forest officials, who reached the spot and rescued the reptile.
