Once again, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong is set to present the annual budget for Singapore, but this year, as the “4G” Prime Minister of Singapore, he does so with an even higher stack of responsibilities.
As per a press release issued today by the Singapore Ministry of Finance (MoF), the budget statement — to be delivered by PM Wong in Parliament — will be broadcast live from 3.30pm on 18 February 2025. MoF has released a list of platforms where the public can catch this live broadcast.
The Singapore MoF press release said: “The Budget Statement will be broadcast ‘live’ on Channel 5, CNA, CNA938, Capital 958, CNA website (www.channelnewsasia.com), CNA YouTube, CNA Facebook, CNA TikTok, 8 World website (www.8world.com), 8 World YouTube, 8 World Facebook and Mediacorp’s meWATCH (www.mewatch.sg) and on PM’s YouTube (www.youtube.com/@Lawrence_Wong/featured).”
It added: “The Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf) will also provide simultaneous sign language interpretation of the Budget Statement on Channel 5.”
Those who cannot watch the Budget Statement live can get regular updates. “There will be updates of key announcements from the Budget Statement on MOF’s1 and PM’s2 social media platforms,” said the press release.
“The public may also visit the MOF website and subscribe (www.mof.gov.sg/email-subscription) to receive the full Budget Statement via email after it has been delivered. The Budget statement will also be available on www.singaporebudget.gov.sg after the statement has been delivered,” it added.

Feedback on FY2025 Budget Statement
According to the press release, a lot of public feedback has been taken before creating the Singapore Budget 2025.
“MOF and various agencies, including REACH and PA, have been engaging the public in the lead-up to Budget 2025 since December last year. Members of the public can submit their views on the Budget 2025 Statement through various feedback channels. These channels include:

In-person Budget Conversations in English and Mandarin
REACH, the Singapore Government’s feedback and engagement unit, will hold two in-person Budget Conversations in English and Mandarin, on 20 February 2025 and 13 March 2025, respectively.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and National Development Indranee Rajah and REACH Chairman Tan Kiat How (Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information and National Development), will join the conversation and share their views on 20 February.
Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance Chee Hong Tat and REACH Deputy Chairperson Eric Chua (Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth and Social and Family Development) will join the conversation and share their views on 13 March.
Series of public engagements on Singapore Budget 2025
Following the Budget announcements on 18 February, REACH will also organise a series of engagements for members of the public to share their views on Singapore Budget 2025.
These engagements include physical Listening Points set up at various high traffic nodes across Singapore as well as a series of outdoor panel discussions.
Details of the upcoming engagements will be available on the REACH Budget 2025 microsite. People can also share their feedback about Budget 2025 via the REACH Budget 2025 microsite.
The People’s Association (PA) and its grassroots organisations will be organising post-Budget dialogues to engage residents and seek their views on Budget 2025 measures. Residents who are interested in attending can register at go.gov.sg/postbudget2025. The sign-ups will be available until 12 noon on Friday, 28 February 2025.
