"Foreign Affairs ministry 2.0," is the way the founder of India Pride Project, Anuraag Saxena describes the efforts of India's External Affairs Ministry. Sobriquet sounds more than appropriate if one were to go by the preparations being put together in the forthcoming ASEAN India Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) being organised by the Indian High Commission of Singapore.
Chief Commercial and Digital Officer of Mediacorp Parminder Singh said, “PBD is a great brand name to take to other countries and promote the cultural osmosis that exist between India and those countries.”

The event is being planned to engage Indian diaspora from different age groups and backgrounds. Activities ranging from essay, poetry, classical dance to vocal and instrumental competitions to sessions with industry and political leaders are being organised.
Having Sushma Swaraj, India's External Affairs Minister as the chief guest will clearly be the biggest draw for the event to be held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention centre on January 6 & 7 2018.
A Platform which will be bringing together the best from the ASEAN region and celebrating 25 years of India ASEAN relationship, PBD is an event the Indian diaspora and NRI community is eagerly waiting to be part of. As the countdown to the event begins we spoke to members of the Indian diaspora on their expectations from this big ticket event.
