Jaishankar — on his first visit to the US capital since the third Modi government took office earlier this year — met Blinken on Tuesday at the Foggy Bottom headquarters of the US State Department.
Addressing the ‘Pakistan problem’ towards the end of his nearly twenty-minute speech, Jaishankar emphasized that Pakistan’s strategy of cross-border terrorism would never achieve its goals. “Pakistan’s policy of cross-border terrorism can and will never succeed,” he asserted.
Explaining the India-Russia ties to the American audience, Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar summed it up in three words: geopolitics, military, and economics. He was speaking at the Asia Society Policy Institute in New York City.
