Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked for peace stating that "conflicts and confrontation benefit none", amid the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine.
Speaking at the ninth G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit, Modi said, "In the 21st century, unity in diversity is a huge strength for India. This helps us to fight all challenges and solve all problems."
"The world is fighting the danger caused by conflict and confrontation. Conflicts and confrontation benefit none. A divided world can't solve the challenges posed to humanity. This is the time of peace, brotherhood and harmony. This is the time for development for all," he said.
Modi's message comes days after militant organisation Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israeli towns killing over 2,800 people.
