Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s younger son, Mark Shankar, suffered burn injuries in a fire that broke out at his school in Singapore on the morning of April 8. The incident was confirmed by the Jana Sena Party, which Pawan Kalyan leads.

According to the party’s post on X, the fire occurred at the school due to unknown reasons, and Mark sustained injuries to his hands and legs. In addition to the burns, he also inhaled smoke, which caused him some respiratory issues.

Immediately after the incident, Shankar was rushed to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Party sources added that Pawan Kalyan, the Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM, is currently on an official tour of Alluri Sitarama Raju district in the southern Indian state.
He has been advised to cut his trip short and travel to Singapore to be with his son. However, the deputy CM plans to finish his scheduled engagements before heading to Singapore from Visakhapatnam.
Mark Shankar, who was born on October 10, 2017, is 8 years old and is studying in Singapore.
While the exact name of the school was not disclosed, reports confirm that a fire broke out at 278, River Valley Road at around 9:45 am.
This is the listed address of Tomato Cooking School, a place that offers cooking lessons and camps for children. According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the fire led to one child’s death and injured 18 others.
