Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna was in Singapore for the world premier of his new film Section 375 at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (SGSAIFF).
In the courtroom drama, Akshaye plays the role of a lawyer defending a filmmaker accused of sexually assaulting a crew member. The movie explores an issue which has been much talked about in the last few years. Akshaye hopes that the film, will spur a conversation around the topic – which he thinks is necessary. “Films have an enduring impact on people – much more compared to other art forms,” he says.
