Amazon Prime is now officially available in the UAE, offering customers free delivery on millions of local and international items, unlimited access to its entertainment platform Prime Video, Twitch Prime (for gaming) and other exclusive member deals.
The service is already available in 17 other countries and has over 100 million customers.
“We are excited to provide UAE customers fast, free delivery on products from Amazon UAE and free international delivery on products from Amazon U.S.,” said Jamil Ghani, Vice President, Prime and Marketing International, Amazon in a press statement earlier today.
The move comes a month after Amazon’s takeover of the Dubai-based souq.com. The service is being offered in the UAE at comparatively cheaper rates than in established markets like the UK and the US.
Prime members in the UAE will get free delivery on local and international items, instant access to exclusive Amazon Original series as well as video game upgrades.
