Singapore customers can now access download the Amazon Prime Now app, made available today July 27, on both iTunes and Google Play. This service allows customers to place orders for same-day or next-day deliveries.
The Singapore launch is Amazon’s first entry in South-east Asia and is set to challenge the likes of Lazada and RedMart in the local market.
Services expected to subsequently launch in Singapore include Amazon Prime, Amazon Prime Now fast delivery, and Amazon’s e-commerce services, according to a report by Todayonline.
There will be two delivery options for Singapore customers on the Amazon Prime Now app. Orders less than S$40 will cost S$5.99 to deliver, which will be completed within two hours. Customers can also select the S$9.99 option for one-hour delivery. For orders above S$40, two-hour deliveries will be free.
