Actor Johnny Wactor was shot dead by a thief in Los Angeles who was trying to steal a part from his car on Saturday.

The actor, who is known for playing the character of Brando Corbin in the US soap opera ‘General Hospital’, was 37.

Confirming his death, Wactor’s talent agent David Shaul told Variety: “Johnny Wactor was a spectacular human being. Not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him. Standing for hard work, tenacity and a never give up attitude. In the highs and lows of a challenging profession he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be.”

“Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever,” the agent said.

The actor’s mother told TMZ that Johnny was with a coworker when they saw three men messing with his car.

She said her son did not fight or stop them but the men shot him.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

She hopes those behind the crime will be found quickly.

Wactor is known for his performance in TV series named Army Wives and the films USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage and Supercell.
