On the occasion of second National Ayurveda Day, the Indian High Commission in the UK organised a presentation and seminar on the traditional science of Ayurveda at India House. Experts from all over the UK converged at India House to discuss the benefits of this ancient discipline.
High Commissioner YK Sinha in his address, said that the focus of the Government of India on celebration of this special day is testimony of the fact that this ancient tradition has played over centuries, a very important role in India, and that this is now being appreciated and replicated across the world.
He informed all of the launch in India of the All India Institute of Ayurveda by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also welcomed the interest shown by health service providers in the UK to harness the benefits of the science and practice of Ayurveda, and offered all support by the Mission in this.
The High Commissioner also wished all present on the occasion of Dhanteras.
Also present at the event were members and head of All Party Parliamentary Group on Traditional Sciences, National Health Service (NHS) of the UK, and some of the key Ayurveda organisations based in the UK and EU.
