An all-round brilliance from Dhara Gujjar helped her team, Adamas Howrah Warriors, registered a 11-run victory against Servotech Siliguri Strikers at the JU Campus in Kolkata on Friday.
The Strikers won the toss and chose to field first. Batting first, the Warriors scored 123 for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs.
Gujjar led the way with 57 runs off 52 balls. Diya Nandi’s knock of 22 runs helped the Warriors reach their eventual score.
Pampa Sarkar and Samayita Adhikari were the pick of the bowlers for SSS, taking 2 and 1 wickets, respectively.
In response, the Strikers could manage only 112 runs before being bowled out. Priti Mondal top-scored with 43 runs off 40 balls, while Bristi Maji added 35 runs off 42 balls.
Gujjar once again shone with the ball, picking up 3 wickets. Prativa Mondal took 2 wickets for AHW.
Dhara Gujjar was named the Player of the Match for her exceptional all-round performance.
