Asked to bat first, Tigers put up 110 runs for the loss of five wickets. In reply, Kueens fell short by six runs, scoring 105 runs for the loss of nine wickets.

Mita Paul, the Tigers’ skipper, played a handy knock of 24 runs off 31 balls, but it was Ipsita Mondal’s unbeaten 37 that helped her team reach a respectable score.

For the Kueens, Priyanka Sarkar picked up two wickets.

Coming out to chase, the Murshidabad team lost a wicket early, but then steadied the ship with a 41-run partnership. Sandipta Patra’s 45 off 45 balls went in vail as most of her teammates failed to rally beside her.

Ariktha Manna, Mita Paul and Mamata Kisku picked up two wickets each for the winning side.
