The 14th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is set to open with razzmatazz from December 6 and will continue up to December 13. Thirteen leading entities have signed on as official sponsors of the festival, including luxury car manufacturer BMW, social media platform giant Twitter and Dubai Airports.
During the festival, films will be screened over eight days at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena, Madinat Theatre, Souk Madinat Jumeirah and VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates and The Beach – opposite JBR.
Abdulhamid Juma, Chairman, Dubai International Film Festival, while speaking on the generosity of DIFF’s official sponsors and its impact on the growth of the Festival, said, “Over the past 14 years, DIFF has built a reputation as a must-attend festival on the global cinematic calendar; a feat we would not have been able to accomplish without the vital role played by our official sponsors.

Luxury car manufacturer BMW will continue its vital support for a seventh year. Film stars will enjoy luxurious transportation to a variety of exclusive events during the Festival’s eight-day programme.
Dubai Airports will once again welcome international visitors to the metropolitan city with their renowned Emirati hospitality. It has been a key sponsor since the festival’s inception.
Global social media giant Twitter will give round-the-clock insights into the various events taking place in DIFF allowing film lovers and fans to share unforgettable festival moments. From live on-ground coverage, including celebrity Q+As and behind-the-scenes access, to fan reactions at world premieres and industry discussions at the Dubai Film Market, Twitter will bring cinephiles from around the globe together to celebrate the magic of cinema.
Sharing all the glitz and glamour from the red carpet and industry events, global audiences will get the latest festival news through news network CNN, alongside the region’s leading pay-TV network OSN, Arabic news and current affairs channel Sky News Arabia, as well as ZEE TV, the popular South Asian media and entertainment company. More than three million daily listeners will get front-row access to each day of the 14th edition through ARN’s nine radio stations, whilst leading outlet Gulf News will continue to keep the local community up to date with the latest information.
The official makeup partner for the fourth consecutive year, Make Up For Ever will be working tirelessly behind the scenes during the festival.
