To make travelling hassle-free in South East Asia, passengers can now book a Grab ride to the airport via the Singapore Airlines (SIA) mobile app in six countries in this region.
Making this announcement through a joint media release, SIA and Grab said they were integrating their apps to make travelling more convenient for customers in six countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Customers using the app will see an option to book a Grab ride to the airport seven days before their scheduled flight. Selecting this option will direct customers to the Grab app, where they can choose to order a Grab ride to the airport on-demand or in advance.
For attracting people, Grab is also offering credits to the customers. The first 5,000 customers to use this function will receive GrabPay credit of SGD10 in their digital wallet. Additionally, members of Grab's GrabRewards programme will also have the flexibility to convert their points into KrisFlyer miles.
Speaking about this facility, Jason Thompson, GrabPay chief, said, “Grab and SIA have a shared commitment to innovation and delivering safe and high-quality travel experiences to passengers. This partnership is a significant recognition by one of the most prestigious airlines in the world and I'm incredibly excited about what we're going to achieve together.”
Singapore Airlines flies to 60 destinations in more than 30 countries while Grab is available in more than 100 cities across seven countries.
