RBI lowers interest rate by 25 bps to boost growth; loans to get cheaper

Announcing the fifth bi-monthly monetary policy for the current fiscal, RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has unanimously decided to cut the short-term lending rate or repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.25 per cent with a neutral stance.

Hidden pump inefficiencies costing companies millions, finds Sulzer study

Across sectors, many pumps are operating far outside their ideal efficiency range, the study found. It is consuming more power, suffering more wear, and pushing up operating costs. The year-long study of 464 industrial pumps showed that a large portion of this waste could be prevented with timely monitoring and targeted upgrades.
