Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who came to India for the G20 Summit and was unable to leave as planned on Sunday, is now ready to depart from the national capital this afternoon, as the technical issue with his aircraft has been resolved.
In a statement today, the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office said that the plane had been cleared to fly. Trudeau and his delegation became stranded in Delhi for a couple of days because of this technical problem with the aircraft.
Reports this morning said that a backup plane and spare parts for the grounded plane were being sent from Canada. However, now it appears that the plane on which Trudeau arrived can take him back.
“The technical issue with the plane has been resolved. The plane has been cleared to fly. The Canadian delegation is expected to depart this afternoon,” the statement said.
