Around 200 teachers of Delhi government-run schools underwent training at the premier institute last year.

Sisodia said that the Cabinet approved a proposal for sending the teachers to Singapore for training.

"Delhi govt will be sending 400 teachers for training to Singapore based National Inst. of Education. 200 teachers have already got trained by this world’s top educators-training institute last year. Proposal approved today (sic)," Sisodia tweeted.

Commenting on the same, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "The future of any country depends upon its teachers. They shape our kids. Del govt is committed to providing the best training to its teachers (sic)."

Kejriwal also said the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will follow the Singaporean model for water treatment and was taking a slew of steps to improve water availability by 15-20 per cent in two years.

"Some city areas are facing water crisis. We are working to improve the situation. The DJB is rolling out several projects to increase water availability by 15-20 per cent in two years and 50 per cent in five years. Hopefully, thereafter there will be no water shortage," Kejriwal said after inspecting the Coronation Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Burari here.

A similar method is used in Singapore, the Chief Minister said.
