After sending shivers down audiences’ spines during its theatrical run, Demonte Colony 2, a supernatural horror thriller film directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, will make its digital premiere in the last week of September.
The Tamil language film will start streaming on ZEE5 Global from September 27.
Starring Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles, Demonte Colony 2, which had its theatrical release on 15 August 2024, collected over USD 6.55 million during its run.
Demonte Colony 2 plunges audiences back into the spine-chilling world of its predecessor, Demonte Colony (2015), following a group of friends whose ill-fated attempt to steal a cursed golden chain awakens a vengeful ghost. As the malevolent spirit exacts its revenge, a few brave souls must band together to confront the evil force and save their friend.
This sequel not only honours the legacy of the original film but also elevates it with innovative horror sequences and fresh twists.
Praised for its compelling story and intense performances, Demonte Colony 2 delivers a suspenseful and eerie experience that expands the haunting saga, ensuring that the terror continues to captivate and enthral audiences.
Arulnithi, who plays both Srinivasan Amirdhalingam and Raghunanthan Amirdhalingam in Demonte Colony 2, said, “In Demonte Colony 2, I had the interesting opportunity to portray a double role, with Srini’s character continuing from the first film and the introduction of Raghu, who is stylish and carefree — a stark contrast to Srini’s persona.
