FIFA World Cup 2018: Where to watch across the world

With the 2018 FIFA World Cup set to kick off today, fan fever has reached a new high, with people all over the world eagerly awaiting the first whistle. The 2018 World Cup is hosted by Russia and matches are scheduled from June 14 to July 15.

The tournament is the culmination of qualifying rounds that involved 209 teams playing 878 matches over the past four years.

Singapore

Singtel, Mediacorp and StarHub

Three local broadcasters of Singapore – Singtel, Mediacorp and StarHub – are collaborating for the first time to broadcast the matches in the island nation. All three broadcasters will offer complete FIFA World Cup coverage at the à la carte price of SGD94.16 until May 22 and SGD112.35 thereafter, unchanged from FIFA World Cup rates four years ago," said Singtel, Mediacorp and StarHub in a joint press release issued today.

US

FOX, Telemundo

Fox and Telemundo have the TV rights for this edition of the World Cup, which means games will air on Fox, Fox Sports 1 in English and on Telemundo and NBC Universo in Spanish.

UK

BBC, ITV

Live coverage of the 2018 World Cup Finals in Russia will be shared between BBC and ITV. BBC will broadcast exclusive live coverage of England v Tunisia and England v Panama. ITV will broadcast exclusive live coverage of England v Belgium. ITV will have first pick of the Round of 16 matches and BBC will have the first two Quarter Final picks. Both BBC and ITV will show live coverage of the World Cup Final.

Dubai

beIN Sports

Etisalat announced that it will be broadcasting the World Cup as a standalone package for its customers. The package will cost Dhs555 (excluding VAT) and be available on channel 777 of its eLife service. Du have announced the launch of four exclusive beIN Sports channels for the World Cup. The package includes live coverage of all 64 World Cup matches in full HD and will cost Dhs551 (excluding VAT).

India

Sony Pictures Networks

The matches will be shown live on SONY TEN 2, SONY TEN 2 HD, SONY ESPN and SONY ESPN HD.

Streaming/online

  • Singtel will be streaming the matches using its CAST App in Singapore
  • US customers can stream all World Cup games in English or Spanish on fuboTV (Try for free).
  • The match will be shown live on SONY LIV in India.
  • Google is offering a ‘cheat sheet’ service to keep up-to-date during the tournament.
