The Singapore Budget statement will be presented in the Parliament at 3.30pm on February 19 by Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat, announced the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the government feedback portal REACH in a press release issued today.
A live webcast of the Budget speech will be available on the Singapore Budget website (www.singaporebudget.gov.sg).
The Ministry of Finance (MOF) is partnering the Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf) to provide simultaneous sign language interpretation of the budget speech on the Singapore Budget website.
There will be real-time updates of key announcements from the Budget Speech on the MOF Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MOFsg) and the MOF Twitter account (www.twitter.com/MOFsg), stated the release.
To view Budget-related tweets and postings, the public may use the hashtag #SGBudget2018.
People may visit the Singapore budget website and subscribe to the budget statement mailing list to receive the full budget statement via email after it has been delivered. This service will be available for sign up from now until February 15.
Meanwhile, government feedback portal REACH will organise a Budget 2018 Conversation on February 20 to discuss the announced budget measures.
The programme will be hosted by Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State for Finance and Law and Sam Tan, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office.
In addition to this, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information, who is also the Minister-in-charge for Muslim Affairs and Minister-in-charge for Cyber Security will be chairing the REACH-Berita Harian Budget 2018 Conversation, in Malay, on February 28.
Further, there will be a Budget 2018 Facebook Q&A session on March 1 from 8pm to 9pm.
Members of the public are welcome to join in the chat hosted on the REACH facebook page.The public can also provide their feedback at REACH listening points which will be set up at various locations between February 21 and March 4.
