Bollywood actress and producer Anushka Sharma and her husband, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli have finally revealed a glimpse of their newborn baby daughter to the world with a post on social media.
New mom Anushka’s post on Instagram also reveals the name of their daughter, who was born last month.
"We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes. Sleep is elusive but our hearts are so full .Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy," Anushka posted along with a picture of herself and Virat with their daughter.
The actress and her cricketer husband had earlier sent a note to Mumbai paparazzi asking for privacy for their newborn child. "While we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child. We know that you will understand where we are coming from and we thank you for the same," the note read.
Anushka and Virat met during the shooting of a shampoo commercial several years ago and eventually tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy in 2017. The couple announced the pregnancy in August 2020.
