Deepavali celebrations have begun across the island, so pop by Indian Heritage Centre for a slew of festive activities including heritage trails and guided tours, cooking demos, and more.
Gardens by the Bay will also be hosting an exhibition on Indian traditions in Singapore, as well as Rangoli art re-imagined with reused bottles.

4. SEA of CLOTH – The Journey of Sari to Singapore
As part of the Singapore Bicentennial celebrations, Singapore Indian Theatre & Film Explorers (SITFE) will be staging a cross-disciplinary production of historical fiction genre, titled, SEA OF CLOTH – The Journey of Sari to Singapore.
SEA OF CLOTH will pay homage to the textile industry and unravel the stories that span across three time periods. The 80-minute production will unearth the beauty of the sari and its impact on Singapore’s history, her landscape, identity, cultures and even trade.

5. The Practice of Fasting in Different Religions
The Harmony of Faiths Singapore Talks is a series of interactive get-togethers focused on knowledge building and sharing about the many religions in Singapore. The talks aim to educate the general public in Singapore about the commonalities and differences in the practice of religions.
In the first session, speakers from the Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Baha’i and Jain religions will share about the practice of fasting in their respective religions.
