Who will win the prized divine golden mango? The five elements known as the Pancha Mahabhūtas—earth, fire, water, wind and ether—are the basic constituents of all material matter. Everything that exists is made of these five elements and everything finally dissolves into these alone.

Through a combination of five different aspects of music – vocal, wind, stringed, percussion and electronic instruments across various genres, CHETHAS kids’ orchestra presents the 5 Elements of Nature.

Thirukkural, an ancient and highly venerated book in Tamil, is an anthology of philosophical exhortations on good personal and public life such as ethics, integrity and humanism.

However, there is a fascinating debate about it: Is it sacred or secular? Are its fundamental philosophies based on Hinduism or Jainism or does it reflect influences of Christian or Islamic spirituality or is it the work of mystics with multiple layers of meanings? Or is it strictly a secular treatise with no religious affiliations? The debate, while unsettled, is illuminating in its own way. This forum brings together three thought leaders with deep knowledge of Thirukkural to guide you through the intricacies of its inner meanings.
