This weekend brings a quirky mix of exciting events to your plates. From a dialogue session on the aches and joys of Indian womanhood, to a wooden chopsticks workshop, and a open house at the historical building India House, this weekend looks like a rainbow of activities.

Grace Kalaiselvi, Subhashini Kalaikannan and Harini V come together to present a performance focused on inheritance, patriarchy, and the aches and joys of Indian womanhood. Contentious topics covered include infamous fairness creams, glass ceilings, and internalised subservience.

2. Woodworking: Handmade chopsticks workshop
In this 3-hour workshop, you will learn how to make 2 pairs of chopsticks. It will be a hands-on workshop, where you get to do shaping, sanding and finishing, and bring home a pair of handcrafted chopsticks. Hand tools and techniques will be introduced in the lesson, and finishing the chopsticks with beeswax after sanding is done.

5. Traditional Letterpress Typography Workshop
Held in conjunction with the Singapore Design Week, TYPESETTINGSG is excited to present a unique typography letterpress workshop. This workshop will introduce the art of letterpress printing, the basic typesetting process, the art of typography, the anatomy of a type and tools in a composing room. Participants will be able to typeset and arrange their types to form their own typographical layout and print their own design using the printing press.
