Universal Studios Singapore's annual scare event returns for another year. Not for the faint-hearted, this time the theme is ‘after the deadly sins’. Horror fans can look forward to the five spine-chilling haunted houses which open today for a month. This year's highlight is the Death Mall, where you'll navigate your way through a dilapidated shopping mall as malicious ghosts roam the corners.

2. ZAK Salaam India Expo-Singapore

3. Golden Village’s Love and Pride Film Festival

Golden Village's Love and Pride Film Festival comes back with its ninth year armed with a stronger and wider selection of films, including Japanese drama Close-Knit and Teddy Award-winning Brazilian flick, Don't Call Me Son. Curated by the Singapore Film Society, the 12-day line-up of films all share the common theme of universal love and sexuality, offering the audience a series of critically acclaimed and thought-provoking cinematic pieces.

4. FUN HOME

Winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, FUN HOME is a powerful coming-of-age tale based on Alison Bechdel’s best-selling autobiographical memoir of the same name. The result is a gripping portrayal of a daughter’s determination to connect with her enigmatic, volatile and brilliant father.

5. Liberty Wave

Liberty Wave is a three-day Open Water Swim event that gives participants the full open water experience – from a welcome dinner that gives participants a chance to mingle with local and international swimmers, to an open water workshop conducted by world renown open water coach, author and champion Steven Munatones, and the actual race. There is also a kid's component where children aged 7 – 12 years old take part in a fun 300m swim to familiarize themselves with the open water conditions.
