As of 12 pm on March 2, the Ministry of Health has confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 in Singapore, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 108 in the country. Of the two new cases, one is linked to the cluster at Wizlearn Technologies Pte Ltd while the other is linked to a previous case.
Of the 108 confirmed cases, 78 patients have recovered and been discharged. Of the 30 that remain hospitalised, 24 are stable and improving while 6 are in critical condition.
Case 107: A 68 year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo but had been in Jakarta, Indonesia from February 11-14. She is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). She is linked to Case 94.
She reported the onset of symptoms on February 16 and sought treatment at two general practitioner clinics on February 20, 23 and 25. She presented at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on February 27 and was immediately isolated.
Prior to hospital admission, she had mostly stayed at her home at Bishan Street 13.
Case 108: A 34 year-old female Filipino national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo. She is a foreign domestic worker employed by Case 101, and works in the same household as Case 102. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 2 March morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
Case 106 (Announced on March 1): A 54 year-old male Japanese national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and has no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo, or to Japan. He is currently warded in an isolation room at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He is linked to the cluster at Wizlearn Technologies Pte Ltd.
He reported the onset of symptoms on February 23 and sought treatment at a GP clinic on February 24, 26 and 28. He presented at CGH on February 29 and was immediately isolated.
Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at WinTech Nano-Technology Services Pte Ltd (10 Science Park Road), which is located on the same floor as Wizlearn Technologies Pte Ltd. He stays at Tampines Street 45.
