Outgoing traffic through Tuas and Woodlands checkpoints are expected to build up in the week leading to the Lunar New Year, from Saturday Feb 10 to Thursday Feb 15.
Both land checkpoints will also experience heavy traffic in both directions from Friday Feb 16 to Tuesday Feb 20, ICA said in a media statement released today, Feb 6, 2018.
The BioScreen system has been progressively implemented at all checkpoints to capture the thumbprints of all arriving and departing travelers. ICA reminded the public that with security checks, traffic build-up in inevitable when a large number of travelers use the checkpoints at the same time.
Travelers should expect a longer than usual waiting time at the checkpoints, and are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
