Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who turned 59 last week, has recently revealed he has quit smoking.
Shah Rukh, who had earlier admitted to smoking 100 cigarettes per day, revealed it during the celebration of his 59th birthday on Saturday.
At an event organised by his fan clubs in Mumbai’s Bandra, the actor said, “Another good thing, I am not smoking anymore guys. I thought I wouldn’t feel so breathless (after quitting smoking), but I am still feeling it. I am just catching up. Inshallah, that will also be fine.”
In 2012, Shah Rukh was slammed for smoking in public during an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
The superstar, who is the KKR co-owner, pleaded guilty before the court and paid a fine of Rs. 100.
In 2024 as well, SRK was caught smoking in the stands during an IPL match between KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
On the work front, Shah Rukh, who delivered three blockbusters after his comeback in 2023, has had no release this year.
He came out of his hiatus with Pathaan in early 2023, followed by Jawan and Dunki.
The superstar will next feature in Sujoy Ghosh’s King, where Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan will make her silver screen debut.
