To recognise the contribution of prominent Indians living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), an ‘Iconic NRI Awards’ programme is going be organised in Dubai on January 20. In addition to this, four Emiratis will also be felicitated at the event for their continuous support to Indian community.
VK Singh, India’s Minister of State for External Affairs along with Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance will grace the function.
The award ceremony, organised by the NRI Media, will also be attended by Navdeep Singh Suri, Indian Ambassador to UAE and Vipul, Consul General of India in Dubai, besides other dignitaries.
Afi Ahmed, CEO and Founder of the NRI Media, said, “All 25 eminent Indians, whose names will be announced on January 19, have been selected for uplifting expatriates’ lives by creating immense employment opportunities and have contributed immensely to the all-round excellence of Indians here by leveraging innovative initiatives and charitable efforts.”

About 200 guests are expected to attend the event giving access to the crème de la crème of NRI community, including the country’s high-flying achievers, decision-makers, goodwill ambassadors, professionals and businessmen.
There are an estimated 2.8 million NRIs who have made UAE their home. The Iconic NRI Awards will be the most distinctive awards reckoning NRIs as a brand unto themselves.
